Avengers film wordt Ultimates film

Het was al soort van duidelijk nadat we Samuel L. Jackson als Nick Fury zagen in Iron Man, maar er is nu ook wat meer duidelijkheid over de volgorde en de tijdslijn van de film.

The Incredible Hulk speelt zich af na Iron Man en Iron Man 2. Af te leiden uit het feit dat Tony Stark in The Incredible Hulk al is benaderd door Shield. Captain America speelt ook vóór The Hulk en Thor speelt weer na The Hulk, volgens de geruchten in elk geval.

Latino Review heeft een interview met een insider die iets meer weet over Captain America:

Not entirely sure, but it definitely must open before The Avengers. There's a completed script ready to go.  It's already in its third draft. It’s a period piece. The first half of the movie starts off in World War II, then, I believe, the film concludes with him getting frozen in the ice and being discovered by S.H.I.E.L.D. and The Avengers. That actually makes sense. Why wait until The Avengers to have Cap meet Stark, Fury and the team and then sign up? Time is limited and you waste it if you spend the first act establishing relationships between Cap and the others. This way, when The Avengers story begins, he'll be somewhat familiar with his new comrades and the main plot can kick into gear immediately.

Omdat Marvel al een tijdje bezig is met alle 'normale' titels weer uit de corssover events te halen, stond ik er helemaal niet bij stil dat de Avengers film hoogstwaarschijnlijk een Ultimates film wordt.
